Labor Education Programs at LER
Certificate in Global Labor Studies
The Certificate is designed for workers and unionists who want to focus their studies on skills-based courses.
Six three-credit UIUC Global Labor Studies courses are required. (National Labor College skills- based courses may also be counted with the permission of the of the Labor Education Director.)
At least three of the six courses must be in the following courses:
LER 250 Grievance Representation
LER 260 Union Organizing
LER 270 Collective Bargaining
LER 280 Labor Law
LER 290 Workplace Health and Safety
