Labor Studies Club

Who Are We?

We are an active organization driven to educate and inform the students of LER and the campus community about the role of labor in the workforce.

  • Our primary purpose is to see that students are afforded the opportunity to network with the labor community in the interest of future jobs and current research projects.
  • We serve a variety of functions for its members, including discussing issues around labor/management relations, hosting speakers on labor organization and conflict resolution, informing members on job opportunities in the labor field, and much more!

What do we do?

In the past, we have planned workshops, brown bag luncheons, movie nights, and plant trips as a means of educating people on the topics of labor. We have also played a more active role in various labor movements across the state of Illinois.
