Parking

Public metered parking near the LER:

  1. On 5th Street on the West side of LER or 6th Street on the East side of LER
  2. On Armory near the front entrance of LER.
  3. In the Main Library Parking Lot

Unless otherwise instructed, there will be reserved parking for you on the day of your interviews/recruiting event in the parking lot in the rear of LER. Wendy Gooch will confirm which space you should park in prior to your visit. LER has three rented spaces. Two are in lot C8, which is not marked on the map above since it has recently been added back into the campus parking list. It is located to the north of the gated parking lot that is just north of our building and accessible only from 5th street.  It is a very small strip of parking lot with one driving lane and a row of parking on either side. The spaces are 39 and 40, and are marked with a yellow sign.

If these two spaces are taken, please do NOT PARK in any other rental spaces. You may be towed. You may proceed to the back dock of the LER building, enter the building, and ask for a parking pass for a university meter from our staff in the main office on the second floor.   Someone will be available starting 30 minutes prior to your morning schedule. If you receive a parking pass for a university meter, it will be valid for any metered spaces in University lots, or along 6th street south of Armory. The spaces next to the building are NOT University meters - they belong to the City of Champaign.

Additionally, all parking meters on campus take quarters and you may find your own street parking. Many meters have two hour limits, but the meters along 6th street south of Armory will accommodate longer time periods. For general information about parking on campus, including maps of parking areas across campus, please visit: http://www.parking.uiuc.edu/univparkingdistrict.htm.
